There are those dates. I’m sure we’ve all been them. They are the awkward dates, the dates we want to end right away, the dates that we just wish we could fast forward right through. I know that everyone has been on one of those dates.
But then there are dates. Dates where from the second it starts until the very last minute, everything is perfect. Dates where the conversation is effortless, laughter is plentiful & everything falls into place just as you imagined.
This is Ashley & Spencer’s story.
Spencer picked Ashley up for their date in the early evening & they had the perfect date. They had so much fun that they ended up spending the entire evening having the best date of their lives. Since that date, Ashley & Spencer have been inseprable. Linked at the hip. And totally in love.
I am so sad that I won’t be able to photograph their wedding but I know that they will be soooooo happy together! Thank you guys for the awesome session! I wish you all the happiness the world has to offer you! xoxo, marielle.

From the past three weddings I’ve shot….I’m so excited to post the full weddings~ each of these photos just brings the hugest smile to my face! I have the BEST clients on planet earth!

The Murray family is fabulous. They are such a cute little family & in the short amount of time I spent with them, I could see how much they love each other as well as how much they love their little boy, Hoyt. He was such a little ham & I had so much fun taking his photos. All I had to do to get him to smile was to say, “MacDonalds!” True story. This kid loves McDonalds (um…who doesn’t? If I could have an iv of McFlurrys 24/7, I really would.) In fact, I said McDonalds so many times during their session that I headed over to the Golden Arches after the session & got me some of that deliciousness!
This family session was fun & kept me laughing the whole time. I love that Hoyt brought his pony on a stick & his cowboy hat-such a little boy! And Heather, I don’t think I could love your brown boots any more than I do. They are soooooooo sexy!!!!!
Thanks so much for this fun family session, you guys! I hope to get together again sometime soon for more photos! xoxo, marielle.

I love this set of photographs. Hoyt looks so adventurous! You can just see that he is going to be quite the outdoorsman!

The dark clouds rolled overhead, threatening rain. But inside the house where Earl & Sandra prepared for their wedding, a sense of calm permeated the air. As Sandra’s hair was being curled, her Peruvian friends gathered round & excitedly chatted about how beautiful Sandra looked. Earl’s father quietly helped him with the finishing touches on his tie. Guests took their seats. Everything fell into place & before you knew it, Sandra’s mother was walking the gorgeous bride down the aisle. And as Sandra & Earl took their vows, smiles waved across the faces of each & every guest. Earl & Sandra are a perfect fit, a fabulous couple & as gorgeous on the inside as they are on the outside.
I loved the details from this wedding. Everything from Sandra’s lavendar bouquet & handmade dress with freshwater pearl accents, right down to the mini BLT’s, cupcakes & food that Back of the House whipped up, everything was simply divine. And it didn’t hurt that Earl & Sandra picked the best songs as part of their wedding- Sandra walked down the aisle to Coldplay & their first dance was to Iron & Wine. Really, it doesn’t get any better than that!
Earl & Sandra, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your beautiful day! I loved being able to witness the special connection you have & I know your lives will be filled with adventure & fun! xoxo, marielle.

Her friends claim that the first time Crystal met Nathan that she was flirting. Heck, even Nathan claims that she was flirting. But Crystal stands true to her word. She was NOT flirting that first time she & Nathan met.
At least not yet.
Crystal & Nathan met at a conference & became friends. They began to spend more time together, & realized they had a lot of things in common. The main thing they had in common is that they loved having fun. Whether it was at Disneyland, going to see Wall-E, playing games like chess, & even flirting, they realized that they loved having fun together. After being friends for a long time, Crystal & Nathan both decided that they wanted to spend their whole lives having fun together, sharing lots of laughs & more love than a barrel full of monkeys.
I had a great time with Nathan & Crystal for their engagement session in San Francisco. I loved that they brought some games to play with-it made for some fun shots! I know that their wedding in January at the Oakland Temple is going to be beautiful & tons of fun- just because that’s exactly how Crystal & Nathan are!
