It’s in the way her eyes light up when he makes her laugh. It’s the thoughtful & kind way in which they treat each other. It’s the fun spirit that simply exudes from both Sarah & Jeremy when they are by each other’s side. There are so many ways that you can just see how in love Sarah & Jeremy are. Just being around them makes your heart warmer, makes you laugh harder & makes you want to love deeper. Basically, Sarah & Jeremy are beyond fabulous & I was soooooo lucky to be able to spend the day documenting their fabulousness!
This was my last wedding of 2009 & it was the perfect wedding to end this fabulous year with! Sarah’s looooooong, gorgeous veil, Jeremy’s antique pocket watch (a wedding gift from his bride), Sarah’s ZEBRA PRINT SHOES (Hello! Do I have awesome clients or what?!?!?!) all made for some incredible details for their special day. They were married at the beautiful Oakland Temple & although it rained the entire day before the wedding, their day was nothing short of perfection. Not a rain drop in sight! The weather cooperated & made for a wonderful, beautiful wedding!
Sarah & Jeremy-thank you so much for being so fabulous to work with! I love your amazing personalities & how well you compliment each other. I wish you a lifetime of happiness & laughter! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to photograph your beautiful wedding! With much love, xoxo, marielle.
The grounds of the Oakland Temple always are amazing. Who would have thought from this photo that this was a November wedding? Simply gorgeous!

I know Summer & Hunter from waaaaaaaay back-we all knew each other from church back in our college days. I’ve always been amazed at how both of them are so kind, so sweet, down to earth, hilarious & totally sexy all at the same time! Seriously-how do people like them luck out with every amazing quality? And to top off all the amazing-ness that Summer & Hunter have, they also have the sweetest, cutest little boy on the planet, possibly even the cutest boy in the universe. I’m not kidding! He was one of the best behaved little boy I’ve ever photographed!
We met up in Reno a few weeks back for a fun family photography session & it was freeeeeezing! I think that my body has acclimated to the Bay Area weather because by the end of the shoot, my fingers were totally frozen! Despite the cold, we had a great time & I think we got some amazing photographs.
Summer & Hunter-thank you so much for letting me photograph your family in all it’s fabulous-ness! I hope we can do it again sometime soon! xoxo, marielle.

I loooooove being behind the camera. It brings me joy every single time I lift the camera up to my eye & look through the viewfinder. Photography is my passion, something that I honestly can’t get enough of. I’ve always been fascinated with art & by being a photographer, I feel like in a way, I have become an artist. But there is one problem. Being behind the lens all the time means that I hardly have any photographs of myself!
After talking with a few of my fabulous photographer friends, we all decided we needed to do a photo swap. We had a great time taking each other’s photographs! It was a super relaxed, fun, fabulous time. I love how when given the same subject, each of us was able to see something different. That’s what makes photography art. Looking at our surroundings & showing people how we see the world.
Connie, Lynn & Sarah-thanks for the super fun photo shoot! I loved spending time with each of you! I had a blast & can’t wait to see how the photographs you took of me turned out! xoxo, marielle.
Here’s Lynn who is so full of life & has the most gorgeous smile on planet earth. Period. No questions asked.

Here’s Sarah sitting in the coolest doorway known to mankind. Sarah is my assistant & is one of the most dependable people ever.

Connie is incredible. She lives her life with passion for everything she does. And….her boots rock my world!

Meet my BFF Taneil & her fabulous family. I had such a fun time photographing them & I am seriously in looooooove with their little boy! Seriously. Look at him! He is beyond adorable & I already have plans for an arranged marriage between my daughter & Taneil’s son. Don’t think I’m kidding!
Taneil has been my friend since waaaaaaay back in college. She was always there to give me advice & understand my quirks. And she was always there to ditch class with me & go shopping when we knew we weren’t going to learn anything in class that day. We’ve had some great shopping adventures, to say the least! I am so grateful for my friendship with her because I know she will always be there for me when I need it. It’s so nice to know that I have such wonderful, amazing friends.
Here are my favorite photographs from their 13 minute photo session. Yes-13 minutes. Their baby is perfection & he stared right into the camera & didn’t even make a peep the entire time! Thanks, you guys for the great session! Let’s get working on arranging the marriage between our kids. A.S.A.P! xoxo, marielle.

I love this picture. Simple as that.

Their paths were supposed to cross. In fact, it was inevitable. Erin was volunteering at a church camp when one of the camp attendee’s approached her & mentioned that she had an uncle. Who just so happened to have lots of things in common with Erin. And who just so happened to be single. Erin agreed & before they knew it, she & Steve were on their first date, hitting it off just as Steve’s niece had expected. The only problem was that Steve lived in Texas & Erin lived in Utah. No matter, though because they made it work. Despite the miles that separated them, they were able to get to know each other through spontanious “meet me in the middle” trips. They both knew early on that what they had was incredible. Before long, Steve realized that he couldn’t live without Erin in his life. After a hike on Mt. Timpanogous, Steve took one knee & asked Erin to be his wife. She said yes! Even with the miles that came between them, they were able to meet & fall in love. It is a fabulous story & one that hits close to home for me since my husband & I were long distance in the beginning of our relationship, as well.
We headed to the Truckee Rive in Reno for their engagement session & I was totally in loooooooove with the fabulous fall colors & the incredible lighting. AND I’m beyond in loooooove with Erin’s pixie hair cut! Seriously-it is adorable! We had a fun time exploring & finding some fantastic places for their photos & we had a great time!
I am so excited to be the photographer for Erin & Steve’s wedding in March! If their engagement session was any indication of what their wedding will be, I suspect that there will be lots of love & laughter. Erin & Steve- I really enjoyed the time I spent with you! You seem to be perfectly matched & I feel honored to be documenting your special day! Looking forward to your gorgeous wedding! xoxo, marielle.
