It’s raining today. Hard. It’s the kind of day where I don’t want to do anything but sit in my pajamas, wrap myself in a big blanket & blog. I love the sound of rain on our skylights…I love the sound of the big drops of rain & the slight tapping that the smaller raindrops make. I love the whooshing sound of the wind. I’m still getting caught up on all the family sessions I shot during the holidays so having this rainy day is great so I can catch up & blog all the cute families I have been able to photograph in the past month.
I was able to meet up with the sweet Ferriera family the week before Christmas to shoot their family photographs. They were such a cute family & their son was a ball of energy. By the end of the shoot, he was holding my hand & running around with me. It was a great, relaxed & fun shoot. These were shot at the Piedmont Cemetery (sounds like a weird place to shoot but I swear it’s gorgeous!)-I love the colors of the last falling leaves, the December sun & the love that this family has for each other.
Thanks, you guys for the fun shoot! I am glad we were able to get together & I hope to be able to do it again sometime! xoxo, marielle.

Wow what a gorgeous family! I love the shot of them sitting on the window sill of the mausoleum.
It’s a good thing you like the rain, because it’ll probably rain all week. Lucky…
(It’s snowing in Reno right now.)
And the family is great — I love that bright orange POP!
Thanks again for the great pictures – we love them. It’s so great to have so many good ones to choose from – we will definately do this again!
