The turquoise water of Lake Tahoe glimmered & the statuesque pine trees swayed in the light breeze. Meghan & Mike’s destination wedding was held at Lake Tahoe, a place they held close in their hearts. It was here that they spent their childhoods…it was here that they spent time together in high school, laughing & looking out into the beautiful aqua water. And perhaps it was at Lake Tahoe they realized that they were truly, madly, deeply in love. As Meghan’s father walked her down the aisle, tears streamed down Mike’s face. Because today, today was the day that he would finally marry his first love by the blue shores of Lake Tahoe. And as they walked down the aisle as man & wife, tiny raindrops fell from the sky. It was so romantic, so perfectly perfect. They dined, they laughed & they danced late into the night as they were surrounded by their loving friends & family. It was a serenely beautiful day that was so perfect for Mike & Meghan.
Mike & Meghan put so much work into the details of their wedding. Each table at the reception had photographs of Mike & Meghan from their travels around the world-photographs of them in Rome, Paris, Spain. I loved their classic blue & white cake, their candy table at the reception, and the fact the Meghan made her gorgeous invitations. One of my very favorite parts of their reception was their S’Mores station outside! Sooooooooo perfect for a Lake Tahoe wedding. Mike & Meghan opted to do a First Look & it was so wonderful that they were open to seeing each other beforehand. We were able to take the bulk of their bride & groom shots before the ceremony so that they had time to mingle during their cocktail hour. Having a First Look & being open to seeing each other before your ceremony always makes the day run smoother. Their ceremony was held at the gorgeous Sugar Pine Point & was a perfect venue for their ceremony at the beach. They are currently on a loooooong (almost a month long!) honeymoon in Thailand & Cambodia (it’s okay if you’re jealous-I know I am!)
Mike & Meghan-I really, really LOVE you guys. You are both so much fun to be around & you make everyone feel so welcomed & so wonderful. I love to see how you make each other laugh…how you make each other truly happy. I am so grateful that I’ve had the opportunity to get to know you both & even more grateful for the chance to call you both my friends. I love the dance picture!
My favorite is the dancing one, too. But I love that zebra-striped dress holding the merci napkin. I think I’m in love with that dress.
