Emily & Kealan. Squirrel Creek Ranch Wedding.

in Weddings

Their love story began when they were just in middle school. Through the years, their relationship grew…flourished…and turned into an incredible, perfect love. And after years of being together, of planning their future together, they finally (finally!!!) became husband & wife in a dreamy wedding. Guests arrived at the Squirrel Creek Ranch in Grass Valley & watched as Emily floated down the aisle on her father’s arm. As Kealen’s eyes met Emily’s, both of their eyes filled with tears & their smiles were literally ear to ear. Today was the day that they would marry the person they had loved for years & years…and today was the day they would vow to continue loving each other for forever.

Emily & Kealan have spent so much time & energy preparing for their beautiful wedding. Every square inch of the wedding was decorated with love & each square inch of their entire wedding was simply ADORABLE. Everything from the vintage books to the scrabble tiles on each table, the spools of thread & the vintage jewelry placed at each table, the chandelier made out of twine & mason jars, Emily’s amazing bouquet made out of dark succulents, the self-serve candy bar and the perfect barn setting…EVERYTHING was a dream to photograph. Guests dined on scrumptious BBQ & then enjoyed delicious cupcakes for dessert. As the sun dropped below the horizon & the stars made their way into view, Emily & Kealan danced the night away in each other’s arms. Their big day was special, fun & incredible-just like Emily & Kealan.

Emily & Kealan! You guys are a wonderful, dynamic couple-you make everyone in your lives feel loved, important & special. When I showed up at the wedding, I was beyond excited to capture one of the best love stories ever…yours. Wishing you more happiness, joy & love than the world can hold. XOXO, marielle.

I LOVE how Emily wore boots to her wedding…

I love these shots of Kealan getting ready…

Emily & Kealan chose to do a first look which I LOVE because we had sooooo much time for photographs before the wedding ceremony began…

My favorite!

I love how they incorporated their sweet dog, Lucy into the wedding!

Check out all the fabulous details!

During the reception, I snuck them outside for some photographs before the light was all gone. So glad we snuck away from the reception because the light was amazing…

Well, Marielle, I am so pleased. I nearly cried reading your introduction, even though I already know the “story”
You certainly captured many wonderful moments. I think I could look at these pictures for years to come and still feel like it was just yesterday. Can’t wait to see more!

Beautiful work Marielle! I love all the unique details of the wedding! I especially thought the bouquet was pretty awesome…..but what were those plants/flowers in the bouquet?

Beautiful photos…I don’t even know the couple, and I got tears in my eyes. My daughter is thinking of getting married at Squirrel Creek Ranch next summer, which is how I found your link. Nice job!
