Jaren & Debbie are nothing but all smiles all the time when they are together. Their wedding day was a beautiful celebration of their love & everyone around them was so excited to see them become husband & wife. As they exited the doors of the Oakland Temple, all of their nieces & nephews surrounded them & showered them with hugs and kisses. Each person was so excited for their special day because they know what an incredible pair Jaren & Debbie make. They are a beautiful, personable couple who everyone adores & to see them get married was just about the greatest thing since sliced bread. AND I felt so lucky to have been able to photograph such an incredibly happy occasion for two wonderful people.
With as many weddings as I’ve shot at the Oakland Temple, you’d think that I would be tired of shooting there…but it’s not so! I like shooting in familiar places because it provides a challenge for me to find different areas where I’ve never shot before. Different angles, different backgrounds. PLUS the Oakland temple grounds are always amazing so it’s always an incredible backdrop for photographs, no matter what time of year it is. I loved being with Jaren & Debbie on their gorgeous, sun filled April day. We had a lot of fun during their photographs & we even got a little sunburned because of the gorgeous, perfect weather (and partially because my skin hadn’t seen the sun in ages). The reception was held at Debbie’s childhood home in Modesto. It was a beautiful reception with LOTS of dancing (and they played Justin Bieber-holla!!!!), incredible food & even a darling musical number sung by all of Debbie & Jaren’s nieces and nephews. It was a.d.o.r.a.b.l.e. Debbie & Jaren exited their reception under a sky of sparklers & headed off to their honeymoon. It was such a beautiful, wonderful wedding & I was so grateful to be a part of it.
Jaren & Debbie-you guys are soooooo much fun to work with! I loved being able to get to know you both & I know that you will have a fun, happy & amazing life together! Wishing you all the best! With love, XOXO, marielle.
I think I took a million photographs of the tulips that day…
I love that Jaren gave the thumbs up as they exited the temple…he was sooooo excited to be married!
The view of San Francisco was so beautiful!
Girls looking fabulous & boys being…well, boys!
