Their day was finally here. The day they had patiently waited for, the day that had dreamed of, the day they had counted down to…was finally here. Karen excitedly chatted with her bridesmaids as they helped her into her beautiful lace dress & electric blue shoes. Eric’s groomsmen joked & laughed as they laced their shoes & put on their cufflinks. And finally, after years of being together & patiently waiting for their big day to come, Karen & Eric were headed to the church to become husband & wife! Their family & friends excitedly gathered together to witness Karen & Eric’s union at the Five Wounds Church in San Jose. They were married in a beautiful ceremony & they were surrounded by the people who they love the most. You could definitely feel how much Karen & Eric are loved by everyone in attendance-and it’s because Karen & Eric treat everyone around them with complete kindness & love. Their wedding day was a reflection of Karen & Eric-fun, beautiful & memorable…I felt so lucky to be able to photograph it!

Their reception was at Boulder Ridge Golf Course & it was a fun night filled with cultural traditions, awesome music & personal touches that were meaningful to both Karen & Eric. Thanks to Signature Events by Christina Romero, the reception was to.die.for. The reception hall was decorated in vivid greens & blues & the white paper lanterns that hanged outside looked like clouds against the bright blue sky. Guests were treated with ah-mazing food (sushi!!! a roasted pig!!! cake shots!!! fortune cookies!!!) & were entertained with a hula dancer, a dragon dancer & amazing music from the 90′s (Mariah Carey! Boys II Men!!) and they danced the night away as the sun made it’s way down into the horizon. Karen & Eric may have waited a long time for their wedding day, but as anyone who was there can attest: it was well worth the wait. They spent the evening soaking up every.single.minute of the joy that came from marrying their best friend.

Karen & Eric-I am so grateful to have been able to be a part of your beautiful, perfect wedding! I love seeing how in love you are with each other-even after all these years of being together. You are a perfect fit for each other & I know your life will be filled with joy & happiness. Thank you for choosing me to be a part of your wedding! With love, XOXO, marielle.

Karen’s bright blue shoes? Karen’s intricate lace dress? I DIE!!!

Karen was so relaxed and soooooo excited to see Eric!

I loved being able to sneak in to catch a few shots of Eric getting ready to see Karen…as you can see, he was equally excited!

After a few photos, we headed to the cathedral for the wedding ceremony…

Isn’t this church incredible?

After family photographs, we headed over to the golf course for the reception to begin. As Karen changed into her second dress, I was able to shoot the details…

After Karen was in her second dress, we were able to shoot some more bride & groom photographs around the golf course!

I.LOVE.THIS.

Note to all couples: if the sun is setting & I’m shooting your wedding, I will try to take you outside for a few minutes of photos…and this is why…
