The view from Katy’s bridal suite was incredible. Blue skies with just a small patch of fog all the way around San Francisco. You could see Coit Tower, the Golden Gate Bridge & the Bay. The morning was quiet, peaceful & perfect morning for Katy & Kevin to become husband & wife. As Katy’s mother helped her into her lace gown, Katy looked out at the beautiful view with contentment. She was so happy to be marrying the man of her dreams. On the limo ride to St. Dominics Cathedral, Katy & her father held hands…and they held onto each other as both he & her mother walked her down the aisle to her soon-to-be husband. Just like Katy, Kevin was content. And when he saw Katy, you could see just how happy Katy makes him. When they are together, they are perfectly happy. Their wedding ceremony in St. Dominics cathedral was stunning-the light fell through the stained glass windows & the high ceilings seemed to reach all the way to heaven. They were pronounced husband & wife and with smiles bigger than ever, they spent the rest of the day celebrating their blissfully perfect day.
Their reception was held at the San Francisco City Club-I’d never photographed there before but it was an incredible venue. The art deco decor is a.m.a.z.i.n.g AND they let you go up on the rooftop of the building for photos! Guests spent the evening laughing at the toasts from Kevin’s two brothers, listening to a song that was written & performed by one of their friends & just having a wonderful time. I loved their beautiful cake, the grey suits Kevin & his groomsmen wore & Katy’s incredible green bouquet. Katy & Kevin are two kind, sweet & happy people who are just simply happy to be together. We spent the afternoon shooting their bridal party & bride and groom photos in San Francisco & I have to say that spending the day documenting their love was such a treat for me.
Katy & Kevin-thank you SO much for giving me the chance to photograph your perfectly San Francisco wedding. You are a dynamite couple who without a doubt will live a wonderfully happy life together! Thank you for being my new friends & for trusting me with your special day…XOXO, marielle.
