They make each other happy. Not just kind of happy, not just really happy. Katie & Ryan make each other deliriously happy. Each minute they spend with each other is better than the last & with each passing day, they make each other even happier than the day before. You can see how happy Ryan is when he looks at his sweetheart, Katie. You can sense the total joy in Katie when Ryan slips his arm around her waist. It’s fun & exciting to be around them because they are simply happy people who are just overjoyed to have found each other. They were married in the Oakland Temple in August (I know-I’m super, superrrrrr behind on blogging!) and I was so grateful to have been able to photograph all the love & joy they share together.
Their reception was casual & a lot of fun-the biggest hit of the reception was by far the shaved ice station. It was over 100 degrees outside during their reception so everyone cooled off with the flavored shaved ice. I loved the beautiful sunflowers they used not only in Katie’s bouquet but also in their simple & bright centerpieces. The bridesmaids wore yellow shoes & Katie’s something blue was her darling sandals. They spent the evening taking & laughing with their guests & exited the reception under a blanket of bubbles & silver streamers.
Katie & Ryan-you guys are the BEST. I had soooooo much fun getting to know you both & shooting your engagements, bridals & your wedding. I wish you all the joy & happiness as you grow old together. Much love, XOXO, marielle.
