Each and every wedding is such a special day & I am always so thrilled to have the job of documenting all the fun and wonderful pieces of every wedding. It never gets old to me how special, how personalized and how beautifully unique each and every wedding is. It’s a blessing to witness people at the very start of their lives together. Every time I leave a wedding I feel like I’m on an adrenaline rush from all the love and joy I’ve seen all day. It’s the best!
Hannah & Michael were married in the Berkeley hills in late Autumn. The sky was so blue and there wasn’t a speck of wind. They couldn’t have picked a better day for the weather! Their wedding was held at the beautiful Brazilian Room right in Tilden Park. Both Michael & Hannah laughed and shed tears during their ceremony as they talked about the highs and lows and how they truly believed that they are stronger together. As they held hands during their ceremony it seemed like there was nobody there but the two of them. After the ceremony we were able to wander through the botanical gardens as the golden sun dipped behind the mountains. The evening was spent listening to heartfelt toasts from teary eyed siblings, a surprise guitar musical number from Hannah’s uncle as she danced with her father, lots of delicious food and unending laughter. It truly was a magical and special day.
Thank you to Hannah & Michael for being so easy to work with…you are both sweet, kind and so fun to be around! I loved being a part of your day more than you know. Also, as a side note, Hannah & Michael emailed me to tell me that they loved a particular photo from their wedding so much that they turned it into a 1000 piece puzzle! Isn’t that the coolest thing you’ve heard? It made me so happy. Here are my favorites from their special day….
One thing I always strive to get at each and every wedding is the parents of the bride and the parents of the groom as a couple. Parents play such an important role and it’s nice to give them their own little portrait session so they can see how amazing they looked at the wedding!
They rented a school bus to transport the guests to and from the hotel….so we had to do some photos by the bus. I love how excited everyone is!
