I love the Oakland Temple. I know, I know, I say that about everything. But seriously. I looooooove the Oakland Temple. And I love photographing weddings at the Oakland Temple. In my opinion, there are few LDS temples that compare in beauty to the Oakland Temple. The landscaping year round is breathtaking. From the gorgeous tulips in March down to the poppies in November…the Oakland Temple is always a gorgeous backdrop for your wedding photographs. With a rooftop garden, bridges, staircases & the interesting gates, there is something interesting to photograph at almost every turn. Not only is the landscaping incredible, but the temple grounds boast two beautiful water fountains & a killer view of San Francisco. In 2014, it was renovated to include a beautiful new water feature on the front of the temple. Need I say more? I told you-the Oakland Temple is awesome. Simple as that.
I have had the opportunity to photograph over 60 weddings at the Oakland Temple & it has not ceased to amaze me. If you are an LDS bride & groom looking for a temple that is not crowded, with interesting architecture & gorgeous landscaping, the Oakland Temple might be right up your alley. Here are some of my favorite photographs I’ve had the chance to take at the lovely Oakland Temple…enjoy!
