Some things just are better when they are together. Like peanut butter & jelly. Like 50% off at Prada. Or like a chick flick & a gallon of Ben & Jerry’s. This is the story of Rachel & Brandon. They are individually amazing people, but when they are together, it’s like woah. Together they are incredible. Together they are perfect. Together they are better than eating a PB&J at Prada with the chick flick playing in the background…if you can even imagine that.
Their beautiful wedding was at the gorgeous Oakland Temple. The wind softly blew through the palm trees & the clouds looked like cotton candy in the blue sky. As Rachel & Brandon walked out the doors of the temple, they threw their arms around each other & laughed with joy. They spent their entire day on Cloud 9- because they knew it too…they are both just better when they are together.

The energy between them is palpable. It’s in the way Mike looks at Candace with kind, understanding eyes. It’s in the way Candace throws her head back in laughter when Mike tells a story. It’s the sweet way they talk to each other. It’s the way they depend on each other. It’s a true, totally meant to be kind of love.
I really, truly believe in fate. I believe that people are placed in our lives to make us happier & better people. After spending time with Candace & Mike on their beautiful day, it became even more apparent that this is true. Individually, Candace & Mike are fabulous, genuine & amazing. But together, they make each other (as well as the people around them) happier, better people. They are the type of people you want to surround yourself with because they are incredible people.

Their love is the quiet kind. The way that Jeff & Shao look at each other is sweet, kind & trusting. Their love is pure & wonderful & I was so grateful to be part of their very special day! They were married in the beautiful Oakland Temple & then we spent the afternoon shooting photographs in San Francisco. It was a fabulous, fabulous day!

The doors of the beautiful Oakland Temple swung open and there they were, finally standing together as husband & wife. Their eyes were gleaming…their hands woven together & they could not stop looking at each other. Smiles & laughter permeated the air. Katelyn’s little brothers cheered as loudly as they possibly could. On a scale of one to ten in happiness, Katelyn & Trevor were at a twenty-five.
It was just the perfect moment. I’ve heard that there is no such thing as the perfect photograph, just the perfect moment. And this was it. Their whole day was the perfect moment & I loved being able to capture every part of it.
Katleyn & Trevor- I LOVE you guys. You rule my world & I am so happy that you have found this wonderful love in each other. Thank you for being so fun, so easy to work with and for being my friends. As I waited on the grounds of the Oakland Temple with camera in hand, I wondered what they would be like. What they would look like. What their story was. I turned around & saw Elise & Zach walking hand-in-hand, the grins on their faces bigger than the great ol’ state of Texas. It was instantly that I knew that they were happy people. That they were people who find joy in everything…and that they were both bursting with joy knowing that they had found each other.
