Sometimes love happens quickly…two people meet & suddenly fall in love. On the other hand, sometimes love is something that happens over the course of time. It is something that begins as a friendship & begins to blossom over the years until one day you find yourself driving cross country just to be with the one you love. And that’s Tiffany & Joe’s story. They had met through a mutual friend years ago & maintained their friendship via email & the occasional movie date. For them, it was a casual & fun friendship. A few years later, Tiffany decided to move to Boston with a friend. While settling into her new place, she realized that her life would not be perfect unless Joe was a part of it. Almost as quickly as she had unpacked her bags after arriving, she found herself packing right back up, driving cross country & going straight to Joe’s doorstep.  And that’s how their story began….

Shortly after they started dating, they went on a trip to Hawaii together. Among the swaying palm trees & sandy beaches, they started to fall in love. Tiffany realized how much she loved his witty sense of humor & Joe realized that Tiffany was the funniest & most gorgeous person he had ever met. On their five year anniversary Joe surprised Tiffany with a romantic getaway to Calistoga Ranch. The flickering candlelight & rose petals was the perfect setting for Joe to pop the question. Tiffany said yes! They are planning a wedding this December that will for sure be just as fabulous & as fun as they are.

Tiffany told me that she & Joe love the vibe on San Francisco so I thought it would be a lot of fun to head over to Fisherman’s Wharf for some photographs. The colors & textures of all the walls were fabulous! We ended the shoot over at Chrissy Field & caught some of the golden light as the sun set. It was such a fun, awesome session!

Tiffany & Joe-I am SO excited to photograph your wedding this year! I know it will be fun & fabulous-just like the two of you! Thanks again for the fun time! xoxo, marielle.

P.S Tiffany & Joe earn ultra-mega bonus points for sending me chocolate covered strawberries in the mail today. See? I told you-they are fabulous!

Tiffany-you are sooooooooo gorgeous!

This is by far my favorite photograph from their session….sooooooo gorgeous…

We made it over to the beach just as the sun was setting behind the Golden Gate Bridge. It was a lovely way to end the perfect day…

You could say that he had a thing for that the girl next door. Because, quite literally, Tiffany was the girl next door in Jesus’ (or Chuy-as his friends call him) neighborhood. She was the new girl, ready to start the 7th grade, full of hopes & dreams that she would make friends & like her new school. Never in her wildest dreams would she have thought that this was the year that she would meet the man who would make her the happiest girl in the world.

This is their story…

It was a hot August day when Tiffany & Chuy met. Tiffany’s mom was checking on the progress of their new home & insisted that she & Tiffany get to know some of their soon-to-be neighbors. Tiffany was reluctant to do so because….well, any 7th grader is reluctant to do something their parents tell them to do! Tiffany’s insisting mom was able to successfully drag Tiffany along to knock on the neighbor’s door. They were invited inside to sit & enjoy the cool breeze from the air conditioning. The sliding door opened into the living room & there.he.was. Chuy stood there in his yardwork clothes, his jeans, a baseball hat & a white shirt. And for the first time, Tiffany thanked her lucky stars that her mother was soooooo insisting! Chuy grabbed a cool soda for Tiffany & as they say, the rest is history. They spent their years together in high school, growing & experiencing life together & ultimately falling head over heels in love.

Tiffany & Chuy-you are such a fabulous couple. I love your sense of adventure & your fun personalities! I had a blast shooting your engagement session at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco-you both worked it! Thanks for being so much fun to work with! I am sooooooooooo looking forward to being your photographer for your gorgeous wedding next year! If your engagement session is any indication of what your wedding will be like, I know it will be filled with love, laughter & lots of fun. xoxo, marielle.
