Her long ivory wedding dress hung in the bedroom. It’s heavy silk draped so perfectly & the beading glistened as the sun filtered through the windows. Every bride needs something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue. Michele’s perfectly draped wedding dress wasn’t a new dress…in fact, it was the same dress that Michele’s mother & her grandmother wore on their own wedding days. And as she slipped into her dress that had been borrowed from women that she adored, she was simply radiant. As she walked down the aisle of the beautiful Santa Maria church, arm in arm with her mother, Kevin stood at the end of the aisle-and he, too, was simply radiant. You see, when you meet Michele & Kevin, you notice that there definitely is a joy that radiates from their souls. They are simply happy, beautiful & wonderful people who radiate even more when they are together.
Their wedding was held at the beautiful Santa Maria Church in Orinda & their reception was held at the Berkeley City Club (one of my favorite places!). Guests came from all over to celebrate Michele & Kevin’s new adventure together. The decor was stunning & so perfect for a summer wedding…big white flowers adorned with cumquats, white linen draped effortlessly on each table, dark Chiavari chairs at each table & little silver cups filled to the brim with summer fruit. Music played, people dined & danced and the celebration was a perfect reflection of Michele & Kevin-fun & simply radiant.
Michele & Kevin-thank you both so much for choosing me to photograph your incredibly beautiful wedding. You were a joy to photograph & it is so clear how happy you make each other. Wishing you the happiest married life in the world & a marriage full of love & adventure! XOXO, marielle
Michele & her sweet mother are very close-and you know that Michele gets her sweetness from her mother. I love how these turned out of her mother helping her get ready…
Right before they were pronounced husband & wife, they invited the parents to join the bride & groom, which I thought was special…
I LOVED their bridal party! I laughed so hard with this group-definitely a group with a ton of fun personalities!
Before their reception started at the Berkeley City Club, I snuck them away for just a couple more photographs in the courtyard…
Isn’t Michele’s antique ring amazing?
