They went to High School together. In fact, their lockers were close to each other but they never talked to each other. After freshman year, Michael transferred to a different school but he would still visit his friends at his old school in his ’69 Camero. Years later after graduating, they ran into each other in San Francisco. They ended up talking the entire night and this time he wasn’t too shy to ask for her number. On the taxi ride home that night, Michael was already sending Stephanie texts and the next morning he was making plans to see her again later in the weekend.
They lived in different cities in the Bay Area, so they would meet every week for a mid-week date along the peninsula and call each other on their drives to and from work every day. Together, they explored San Francisco through music festivals, Bay to Breakers, art classes, bike rides, Giants games and more. Stephanie fell in love with how carefree and smart he was, and he fell in love with her creativity and how independent she was. After almost three years of dating, he proposed at one of their old favorite romantic spots by his first apartment in Russian Hill, overlooking the Coit Tower and the Bay Bridge. He had the bench decorated with flowers and a picture of them together. He also had his roommates secretly take photos of the proposal, and took took Stephanie to Top of the Mark to celebrate with drinks and appetizers with one of her best friends (my Matron of honor) and her husband who surprised her and showed up after the proposal! They are planning an autumn wedding at the Mountain Terrace in Woodside and I am beyond thrilled to be a part of it!
Since their love story started in San Francisco, we met at Lands End for their engagement photographs. The day was filled with sunshine and lots of laughter. And I definitely want to be their new BFF. Together they are a fun, hilarious and down-to-earth couple. I sure loved photographing them and can’t wait to photograph their wedding! My six year old daughter even said, “These people are weally, weally pwetty” when she saw their photos! Here are my favorites from their shoot…
