The Oakland temple sits high up in the rolling hills and it is safe to say that year round, this temple is a stunning sight. The grounds are impeccably manicured, the flowers are always blooming, and you feel a sense of peace as you walk on the grounds. Katie and Carl were married there last year, and true to nature, the temple grounds were a perfect backdrop to their classic and fun wedding day. Katie looked beyond beautiful in her lace gown with scalloped edges, and Carl looked dapper in his suit with a bow tie. They laughed, held hands all day and could not keep their eyes off each other. It is very obvious that both Katie and Carl feel like they’ve won the lottery in love!
Their wedding reception was held in the gardens of Katie’s parents home. Pink paper lanterns adorned the trees outside. Katie & Carl’s nieces and nephews ran on the grass, danced and twirled in the hot afternoon sun. Guests gathered to give the couple their well wishes. They dined, they laughed and had a great time. AND as an added bonus, Carl and his friends even performed a hilarious dance for Katie. It was a beautiful, memorable wedding day and I feel so lucky to have been there.
