Their love story has spanned thousands of miles, hundreds of emails & Skype conversations, dozens of weekend trips, and a million kind words to each other. Sam & Paige have made their long distance relationship not only work-but it has made them stronger in the time they’ve been together. But you can only be together long distance for so long! Their relationship blossomed over time & while Paige was visiting Sam in Haiwaii (where he is stationed), he asked her to be his wife. Last weekend the long distance part of their relationship ended & their lives together (and in the same state!!!) began. They were married on a bright, beautiful morning at the Oakland Temple and their day was so beautiful. It made me think over & over how very lucky I am to be able to document such an important day in people’s lives.
Their reception was held in Paige’s hometown of Modesto at the McHenry Mansion. It was such a stunning backdrop for their reception. Tables were set underneath large, leafy trees, kids played in the grass, jazz music floated through the air. The peach and cream colors of the wedding were classic & the wedding had such a timeless feel to it. We were lucky to have a few minutes before the reception started to take some photographs as the sun set around the mansion. Paige & Sam greeted their guests, danced, cut their cake & left the reception with a ribbon sendoff. Their entire day was nothing short of absolutely perfect. For a couple who is the happiest couple in the world, it only seems fitting that they are honeymooning in the happiest place in the world-Disneyland!!!
Paige & Sam-thank you so much for letting me be a small part of your story. I feel like the stars truly aligned so that we could meet! I know your lives together will be fun, romantic & perfect…because you are finally in the same place. Together. XOXO, marielle
