Patricia & Tony had been together for 13 years when the Santa Rosa fires whipped through Northern California last fall. They woke up, realized there was a fire and had just enough time to leave their home before it burned to the ground. Everything they owned was completely gone. Patricia said they drove away, looked back and they watched their home burn to the ground. At that moment, the only thing they had was each other.
A few months ago, I was contacted by the wedding planner, Maryssa Stovall. She was going to be putting together an entire wedding for Patricia & Tony. She reached out to vendors to see who could donate their time, energy, supplies and talents to make this wedding a reality. I am so blessed and honored to have been part of that special team for that special day. Everything you see in the photos below (with the exception of Patricia’s gown and stationary) was donated. The beautiful venue, the music & lighting, hair/makeup, photography, catering, beer and wine, rentals/decor, transportation, florals, cake, Anthony’s suit, cards and signs were all donated by talented vendors. It was such a special thing to be a part of and I know that I’m not the only vendor who felt so honored to be there donating for this couple. Nothing feels better than giving to people who really, truly appreciate and deserve it.
Their wedding was on Friday the 13th and it was truly the most special wedding. Patricia & Anthony were just so thrilled to be together and to finally be married! As Patricia was getting ready, we chatted about how losing everything in a fire really brings perspective to your life. Patricia & Anthony learned from this experience that the only things they need in life aren’t things. They may have lost their possessions but they did not lose their relationships, and that is what is really important. Patricia was the happiest and most fun bride to work with & Anthony just loved being by her side all day. They are such a fun and cute pair and it’s so wonderful to see how they make each other laugh.
