Palace of Fine Arts
The Palace of Fine Arts is a favorite backdrop of weddings in the San Francisco Bay Area and is perfect for photographs. The pond that mirrors the arches and pillars which makes photography for weddings, engagements, and any event spectacular. Many photographs and even movies have been filmed at the Palace of Fine arts including So I Married an Axe Murderer, The Rock, and The Bachelor and more.
Based on roman and greek architecture, the romantic Palace of Fine arts, in neo-classical style, with its classical Roman rotunda and curved peristyle of Corinthian colums, evokes the melancholy of ancient Europe making it perfect for pictures late at night or during the day. It was originally built in 1915 for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition, and restored in the 1970s. More recently, the inner arch was repaired in 2009. Nowadays, it is part of the Presidio of San Francisco. Many tourists are also drawn to the wildlife including ducks, geese, ducks, raccoon and more.
The Palace of Fine Arts is also close to the bay if you are a photographer and want a variety of pictures. From the nearby Marina, you can take amazing photographs of the Bay Area and the city at night, including nice pictures of Alcatraz. Neighboring the Palace of Fine Arts is the Exploratorium which is a science museum and can also provide some nice photographs.
