There’s something about the way they look at each other. The way Leslie’s eyes light up when Martin is near…the way Martin’s dimples appear on his cheeks as he talks about Leslie. They look at each other with such sincere trust, deep love & commitment. They look at each other as if to say, “I’ve been kissing you since High School & I still have the butterflies!” It is obvious that Martin & Leslie are a good fit & that their love will truly stand the test of time. They have seen each other grow, been each other’s rock through hard times & been the biggest cheerleader when the other needed it the most.
Leslie & Martin were married last month at the gorgeous St.Paul’s Cathedral in San Francisco. Their wedding was personal, touching & incredibly beautiful. Leslie & Martin had written love letters to one another that were simply mirrors of the other’s. Their letters spoke of their memory of meeting in High School, the joy they’ve felt as parents & their love & appreciation for each other. Tears rolled down both Leslie & Martin’s faces during the ceremony & a dry eye was hard to find among the guests of their wedding. That evening, friends & family gathered to celebrate Leslie & Martin’s new life together. And just like the first time Leslie & Martin met, the DJ pumped up the music & they danced the night away & spent the night in each other’s arms. Enjoy some pictures at the Palace of Fine Arts as well.
Leslie & Martin, I hope you know that I think the world of you. You are simply the most sincere people I know & I’m so grateful that I had the opportunity to get to know you better. Thank you for letting me document your special day-I am so lucky to have such awesome clients like you! Here’s to your new life together…without a doubt it will be beautiful! xoxo…marielle.

This shot was taken by my awesome assistant, Sarah!

Leslie & Martin’s gorgeous daughter was so excited for the big day!

Hollllla! I loved this bridal party-they seriously knew how to work it! I think they have futures as America’s Next Top Models!

Another fabulous shot by my assistant…

I love, love, love this shot of Martin dancing with his mother. It was such a sweet moment!

The morning light was incredible. It filtered through the windows, shined brilliantly on the flowers & the trees all around. It was as if the sun was shining & nodding with approval of the fabulous events that would take place that day. As I started taking pictures of Sari getting ready for her big day, I listened to the conversation that filled the house. There was talk about what a beautiful day it was…talk about Sari’s gorgeous dress…& there was talk about Loren. Sari would just grin ear to ear as she would talk about how she & Loren met & fell in love. I loved hearing Sari talk about the man who would soon become her husband-she talked about how proud she was of him, how much fun they have together & how excited she was to be his gorgeous bride!
As Sari walked down the aisle at St. Barnabus’ Church, that same incredible light poured through the stained glass windows. Her father walked her down the aisle and Sari’s blue eyes glistened with joy & excitement as she saw Loren for the first time. Their ceremony was personal, filled with love & personal touches. Loren’s sister sang a beautiful song & part of the ceremony was dedicated to his late father. With their hands clasped tightly & their fingers laced together, they became husband & wife. Afterwards, Sari & Loren could not stop laughing & smiling-they had finally taken the leap into marriage & they could not be any happier about it!
Their family & friends gathered together for a ultra-fabulous reception at the Oakland Yacht Club. They dined & danced the night away & as the sun slid down into the horizon, Sari & Loren’s family & friends talked about what a fabulous couple they were…what kind & generous people they are…& how Sari & Loren had touched the lives of each & every person in attendance.
Sari & Loren…thank you soooooooooo much for letting me take part in your special day-your wedding was exciting, gorgeous & you both made each & every person there feel loved. I am grateful to have been able to document your wedding & I know you will both have a fabulous & incredible life together. I hope you had a relaxing & wonderful time in Hawaii! With much love- xoxo, marielle.

Loren made me soooooooooo happy because he brought these martinis to the wedding as “props.” Way to go, Loren!

These kids were seriously so adorable. They looked like they walked straight from a Gap Kids ad!

The guys snuck away from the reception for a bit for some scotch & cigars-it made for some really fun photos!

I promised Heidi that I would put a sneak peek up from her bridal session I shot last week. Heidi & Ian are a fabulous couple & I can’t wait for their wedding next month!

Here’s a sneak peek from Krissy’s fun maternity session-she’s due in just a couple of days! I’ll be posting the rest of my favorites after this weekend!

Meet Ronika- aka one of my very favorite people on planet earth. Seriously. Ronika is an incredible individual who is just down right fabulous. She is witty, kind, talented & has a wicked sense of humor. Her sense of style is one that most girls only dream of having. Who would dare wear metallic leggings with a fringed leather jacket & a neon shirt? Ronika would. And she would pull it off like nobody’s business. That’s why Ronika rocks. She is confident & simply wonderful to be around.
Ronika has been a fantastic friend to me the past few years & when she asked me about taking her senior photographs I knew we would have so much fun!
Ronika, I hope you know that I think you are sooooooooooo super fabulous & that I think the world of you. I hope that one day I can be as incredible as you! I am beyond grateful to have you as my friend! xoxo, marielle.
