The connection I felt with Connie & Mark was instant. We met a few months ago so I could get to know them… to talk about their story, how they met, fell in love, etc. During the course of our meeting, I knew that right there & then I was making friends who I would admire forever. As our meeting ended & we both went our separate ways, I heard Connie say to Mark, “I’m so happy she’s going to be our photographer! I reeeeally like her!” I felt the exact same way- I knew Connie & Mark would not only be awesome clients, but awesome friends, as well. Their laughter is contagious, their enthusiasm for life is palpable. I knew their wedding would be just as incredible as they are.
Connie & Mark had a beautiful two-day wedding at Corpus Christi Church & at the Brazilian Room in Tilden Park. Every detail was flawless, every moment was perfect. As Connie walked down the aisle in her gorgeous gown, Mark’s eyes lit up with love & they both smiled. Everyone who knows Connie & Mark know what amazing, thoughtful & selfless people they are & how incredible it is that they have found each other. Mark & Connie are the best of friends, a perfect couple & amazing people to be around.
Thank you so much, Connie & Mark for letting me be part of your amazing & wonderful wedding. I felt so welcomed…I felt like I was part of your family & I so appreciate your hospitality! I am certain that yours was a match made in heaven & I know that you will forever be in love! I am so lucky to have you both as my friends! xoxo, marielle.

Connie & Mark opted to do a “First Look” before their actual ceremony…here is Connie sneaking up on Mark.

Connie surprised Mark by serenading him during their reception. There was not one dry eye in the room. It was such a sweet touch to their day. I had a hard time taking photos because I was sobbing like a baby!

There are those dates. I’m sure we’ve all been them. They are the awkward dates, the dates we want to end right away, the dates that we just wish we could fast forward right through. I know that everyone has been on one of those dates.
But then there are dates. Dates where from the second it starts until the very last minute, everything is perfect. Dates where the conversation is effortless, laughter is plentiful & everything falls into place just as you imagined.
This is Ashley & Spencer’s story.
Spencer picked Ashley up for their date in the early evening & they had the perfect date. They had so much fun that they ended up spending the entire evening having the best date of their lives. Since that date, Ashley & Spencer have been inseprable. Linked at the hip. And totally in love.
I am so sad that I won’t be able to photograph their wedding but I know that they will be soooooo happy together! Thank you guys for the awesome session! I wish you all the happiness the world has to offer you! xoxo, marielle.

Her friends claim that the first time Crystal met Nathan that she was flirting. Heck, even Nathan claims that she was flirting. But Crystal stands true to her word. She was NOT flirting that first time she & Nathan met.
At least not yet.
Crystal & Nathan met at a conference & became friends. They began to spend more time together, & realized they had a lot of things in common. The main thing they had in common is that they loved having fun. Whether it was at Disneyland, going to see Wall-E, playing games like chess, & even flirting, they realized that they loved having fun together. After being friends for a long time, Crystal & Nathan both decided that they wanted to spend their whole lives having fun together, sharing lots of laughs & more love than a barrel full of monkeys.
I had a great time with Nathan & Crystal for their engagement session in San Francisco. I loved that they brought some games to play with-it made for some fun shots! I know that their wedding in January at the Oakland Temple is going to be beautiful & tons of fun- just because that’s exactly how Crystal & Nathan are!

Late one night as I lay in bed, I sent a text message to my sister to see how things were going with her boyfriend, Jeffrey. A minute passed & my phone lit up with a text from Janessa.
It read, “We’re in love. DUH.”
I laughed out loud & felt the joy in my soul knowing that my little sister had found such love & happiness. And I felt even happier knowing that she was positive that it was love-she obviously wouldn’t use the word DUH unless she was 100% sure that this was it.
This is their story…
It was Superbowl 2008. Janessa arrived at the Superbowl party looking uber-fabulous as usual. The smell of nachos & the sound of people cheering & laughing was dizzying. Janessa looked up across the room & someone caught her eye-a boy in a green sweatshirt & a mile-wide grin. The boy in the green sweatshirt walked over to the couch where Janessa was and asked if the seat next to her was taken. As she said it wasn’t, Jeffrey sat right in Janessa’s lap. Shocked, surprised & totally smitten all at the same time, she let him sit on her lap for the remainder of the game. As they put it, “He couldn’t resist her tight white pants and she couldn’t resist his baby blue eyes & sweet Southern charm.”
They remained just friends as the year went on, keeping in touch here & there until Jeffrey called Janessa to see if she wanted to go out. That one date turned into many more dates, trips to Las Vegas, Laguna Beach, Reno & Lousiana. As they spent more & more time together, they built an amazing friendship as well as a deep love for each other. They knew it was love early on, but the more time they spent together it became more evident to them & everyone around them that they were just meant to be together. That they were totally perfect for each other. After seeing Janessa eat fried alligator & crawfish in Louisiana, Jeffrey knew he would never find another girl who would rock his world like Janessa did. A few months later, he took one knee and asked Janessa to be his wife. She said yes & they have never been happier in their whole lives.
Janessa & Jeffrey- you are the type of people who make me want to laugh louder, love deeper & dance in public more often. You are truly meant to be together & I could not be any happier that you have found this amazing love with each other. I am so excited for your wedding in October & I’m even more excited to have Jeffrey as my new Brother-in-Law! I love you both with all my heart. xoxo, marielle.
